The Green Valleys & The Mountains

We are so lucky to be surrounded by the most fantastic views here in Hafod Yr Haidd.  From each bedroom the views are wonderful.  The Lake, mountians and valleys can all be seen from the house.  Bala Lake and its sailing boats can be seen in the distance and so can Mount Aran on the other side of the valley; the Aran range on one side and the Arenig on the other.

Sometimes you can watch the clouds pass you by; occasionally, they will linger over-head, above the town of Bala where the rain will fall, completely missing us here up at the house!  It can be very relaxing simply watching the clouds, blowing along.

At breakfast time you will be lucky enough to sit in the wonderful conservatory and have views from all aspects while enjoying your first meal of the day.  The conservatory has underfloor heating so it can be used all year round. There are birds to watch and name, if you can, and the assortment of flowers blooming, at different times throughout the year. In spring, you may be lucky enough to see the lambs being born during the season; this is one of the delights of visiting us here.

In the autumn, you may be surprised if you wake in the early morning, with far off mists, lingering over the hills and the lake, then lifting as the sun warms up the lake and mountains.

One of the benefits of coming to Wales is the opportunity you have to take in the splendid scenery. It's something we take for granted on occasion but when presented with views like these we are quickly reminded as to how priveldged we are.

We probably have some of the finest views in the whole of Wales, if not the United Kingdom; right outside our front door.

The Same View - A Little Higher In The Garden

Come and join us, you will be more than welcome and we encourage you to relax and enjoy the view for as long as it takes to get your breath back. Why not enjoy a long gin and tonic with a slice of lemon and large serving of ice.

The summer in Bala is wonderful and we often decide to have barbeques when it gets hot. There is no finer place than to sit in our 'Welsh Paradise' and take in the clean air and feel the warming sun on your back. Relax - You're On Holiday !

Enjoy The Views As You Enjoy Your Breakfast

There's nothing quite like a hearty breakfast during your time away from home. Of course, we all lead such busy lives that not all of us have time to sit down and enjoy a morning breakfast, but you must take advantage of your time with us and enjoy both filling food of your choice and the magnificent scenery as you sit and dine. Take your time, stay as long as you like and remember to enjoy those 'precious moments'. They don't come along every day !
